Boring Blog Update

I don't have much to report, but it's been a week since my last update so figured I better give it a go. I haven't done much noteworthy, so here's a quick recap.

Saturday: Went to a housewarming party of a friend. She bought a house out in Embrun with her fiancee. For those that don't know, Embrun is officially in the middle of nowhere.

Sunday: Can't remember. I think I just lazed around all day, went to Blah Blah's with Purdy and then watched Deadwood at Mullins'.

Monday: Played volleyball with my pick up team. Once again I kept telling myself this would be the last match and I would quit after, but once again I felt guilty about it. I have 4 more games to play with them, so I keep thinking I'll just tough it out. I will see if I do it or not this Monday.

Tuesday: I forget...oh now I remember. I played tennis with Purdy and it was boring. His serves were on so I couldn't return them, and my serves were off so I kept double faulting. I think we had 1 rally.

Wednesday: Played volleyball with my fun team of friends, but we sucked ass this week. Went to the Works after our match, and after I got home I ended up going out to Whisper's with my Mechanicsville boys.

Thursday: Did some chores in Nepean with Purdy. This included picking up my comic books, looking for shows, buying some stuff at Farm Boy and Bulk Barn. Oh we also went to Zellers.

Friday: Went to Boris' to watch the two episodes of So You Think You Can Dance from this week with a couple others. We ordered pizza and I drank a Pepsi.

Amidst that I have also been digging into The Wire - Season 1 DVDs hardcore. This is one of the best shows on HBO and I'm ashamed for America it isn't more popular. I want to rip through the first two seasons as season 3 comes out on DVD in a few weeks and season 4 starts on HBO in September.

I also finished reading In Cold Blood. Overall it was a great read, but the last 100 pages or so was a bit of a let down. The big 'reveal' of the book was when they finally described how the murders were done, but this is done with about 100 pages left. I guess there is supposed to be anticipation to see if the murderers get off or not, but since I have seen Capote I knew they did the hangman's dance so there was no suspense. Still enjoyed it though and read the last 100 pages in one sitting on my balcony last Sunday afternoon.
