The Ottawa Rabbit Hole

Hello Blog fans. Has it really been 2 weeks since I last updated? I'm sorry! I have just been too busy/lazy to get around to it and nothing super noteworthy has happened.

This weekend I had a double header. Purdy's parents were in town, so Friday night we all headed out to Westboro to check out a local establishment named the Trio Lounge. I had been there once before last summer, and after another great experience I wish I had gone more often in the past year. We all had some amazing stories to tell that night, including billion dollar land deals and open heart surgery. Ask me to tell them sometime and I will spin you a good yarn. After Trio, we tried to get into Whispers but they would not let us, claiming they were closing at one. The place was still busy, and last call in Ottawa is 2am, so I guess they just like losing money. We didn't mind though, as the second option was the Carleton Tavern which never disapoints and would never refuse to serve you. We shut that place down and walked home in the rain. Another successful night out in Hintonburg/Westboro.

Saturday night I had a Halloween party to attend, but first things first I was back over at Purdy's for an incredible dinner!! I was stuffed and full of wine, but at 10 I finally decided to crawl over to the party (which was luckily only one block over). I knew most of the people there and had some fun hanging out and showing off my incredible costume. There were prizes for different categories, but I think I split the funny and original votes and didn't win either category. Boo. It's not every year you see such an incredible Magnum P.I. costume.

Since daylight savings time ended, I got an extra hour today to do nothing. I managed to squeeze in both the Da Vinci Code and Nacho Libre as well as an incredible nap. I think the nap was the wisest investment as neither movie was terribly good. I will do my best to blog more often. I value your continued support.
