*UPDATE* Paying it Forward

Two years ago when I was home for Christmas, my brother gave me a free receiver and 5 disc CD player that he had sitting in his garage. If I recall correctly, his father in law had given it to him and his wife. I needed such an item, so he generously paid it forward and gave it to me. It made for some heavy luggage on the trip back but it worked out. It worked well for me for some time, but unfortunately the CD Player started skipping eventually. I tried to clean it but to no avail. This past May, my folks were out and I bought a new home theatre system, so I no longer had need for these items. They were sitting around my apartment for the last month, but since I had to clean up today as I'm having some people over, I decided it was time to do something about them. I had previously promised Pops (a.k.a. Pat Mullins) that I would give him the receiver so he could run his tv sound out to their pool, so I first brought that and some extra speaker wire over to my boy Mullins' apartment. Problem 1 solved. I was going to take the CD player to Good Will or something but decided that was too much work. Instead I decided to give back to the community, so I taped a sign to it reading 'I SKIP BUT I'M FREE' and left it in a pile of old furniture near my place where such items can often be found. Hopefully it finds a good home...

*UPDATE*
I went out with my boy Purdy around 2pm to do some chores for tonight. When we rolled back into Mechanicsville about 2 hours later the CD Player was gone. I knew that would be snapped up quickly around here. Enjoy it, whoever you are!
